Congratulations Sue Lander

Sue Lander's many years of dedication, hard work and commitment has been recognised with an award by the LASA. No, it's not for putting up with David for so long, although goodness knows she deserves a medal for that. The award of her county badge, made in November at Braunstone Swimming Pool in front of a packed audience, recognises Sue's enormous contribution to swimming in Leicestershire at both club and county level over many years.

Well done Sue - you richly deserve it !

The citation was long and deserved - but we just know that without you, galas at Harborough, and else where around the county, just would not run as they do. So, thank you.

Sue is seen here receiving her County Badge from the President of the LASA ... err... Carole !!

Judge level 1 course

Under the expert tuition of David Lander, five MHSC members, Sally Boyd, Nicola Firth, Chris Firth, Mark Merryweather and François Rossi, are following a course to become official asa timekeeper / judge level 1.

For those interested in learning more about the asa official courses, please check their website here.

The MSHC gala was held on 15th & 22nd November 2008, with the presentation of medals and cups taking place at Welland Community College on 14th December.

Many thanks to Dave Lander and all those involved in organising the presentation afternoon. As always, it was a great success - these things take a lot of time and it is appreciated. Thanks also to Ian for his review of the year and those very special prizes!

Well done to all participants.

We hope to be able to show more pictures at a later date.
