Application to join and membership
Q. Do I have to be a good swimmer to join the Club?
A. No.
Q. What is the "structure" of the Club?
A. Market Harborough Swimming Club is a friendly, affordable, competitive club catering for girls and boys aged 5+ from beginners to competitive swimmers. The club provides training for swimmers of all abilities to County Standards. The emphasis is on natural progression of the swimmers, some competing for the Club and participating in friendly and league galas throughout the year.
All our teachers are ASA qualified and the club's activities are covered under the ASA Insurance Scheme.
Q. How can I join the Club?
A. There is a waiting list in operation. The easiest way to register your interest is to fill in the web form “Application to join” under the menu “About”. You will receive confirmation that your application has been received and we will contact you when a place becomes available. In some classes / age groups, the waiting list is longer than others.
Alternatively, pop down to the Swimming Club on Friday evening and speak to us.
Q. How do I transfer from another Club?
A. Speak to the Club secretary, Val Dunton.
Q. What are the current fees?
A. The membership fee per year for 2010 is £65.00 pro rata if you join during the calendar year.
The training fees for 2010 are £2.00 per person per hour and vary according to how much training the swimmer does.
Q. Can I pay monthly?
A. You need to pay your annual membership fee in one lump sum at the beginning of the year. As for the training fee, they are paid monthly.
No refund is given if training sessions are missed.
